The Charlotte Street Arts Centre is pleased to announce Preschool Art Days, a new program created in partnership with resident artist Gael Hogan. Designed specifically for children ages 3-5 and their parents/guardians, this new program will introduce children to hands-on creativity in a fun and playful atmosphere. Each class will begin with a story that will introduce a new creative theme each week.
Presented in partnership with the Multicultural Association of Fredericton with support from Arts Culture NB, Preschool Art Days are proudly provided free of charge. Space in each class will be limited to ten (10) participants along with a parent or guardian.

About the Instructor:
After nurturing her two daughters’ creativity for over a decade, Gael realized it was her turn to grow in her artistic practice. She went back to University at the age of 41 to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and loved every minute of it!
After graduating, she developed her practice in printmaking, painting, drawing and expanded into experimental art using milk and ink on canvas and then progressing to using Epoxy Resin on wood and canvas. She loves to explore and experiment with patterns and the properties of her mediums.
Gael has shown and sold art at a variety of venues in Calgary including the Waldorf Faire, Sunfest in Inglewood, and several shows with a group of artists in Calgary called Artistic Entities. She has most recently shown her work at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre where she has a studio.
As well as creating, showing and selling her art, Gael has taught private art classes to adults in her studio in Calgary. She also worked as the Head of the Elementary Aftercare at Calgary Waldorf School (a Stiener School) for 8 years. During that time, she developed a rich creative program for the children in her care that included arts and crafts, sewing, knitting, cooking, and sculpting with clay.
Expressing herself through her artistic practice is one of Gael’s deepest passions.
