The Fabulously Rich

Atlantic Canada’s premier tribute to The Tragically Hip return to the Charlotte Street Arts Centre!

Friday March 28 | 7:30 p.m.

The play, written and directed by Ron Kelly Spurles, is a moving and funny look at a period in the life of New Brunswick craft icon Grace Helen Mowat. In the play, in the early 1920s Grace has returned to her New Brunswick home after spending several years abroad studying art with established artists. As she works to try to put together a professional play production with the community members she has been working with since her return, she struggles with her aspirations to do professional art, and her love of, and connection to her community.

Sunday March 30 | 2 p.m.

Presented by Marshlight Theatre Company

mass for shut-outs

Mass for Shut-Outs is a shout out to anyone grappling with the complexity of faith, the inconsistency of awe, and the politics of organized religion. Loosely referencing the framework of a Catholic mass, it is a poetic take on Sunday service, exploring enduring questions through a joyful, critical, and comedic lens. It is for atheists seeking connection, agnostics asking questions, and believers kindly curious about other people’s gods.
