Wolf Castle & The Kendra Gale Band
Wolf Castle is a 23-year-old Indigenous Mi’kmaq rapper/ producer and singer from Pabineau First Nation, New Brunswick. An unlikely place for a rap career to come to fruition, everything about Wolf Castle defies the odds. Growing up on the reservation with a supportive family of artists, movie directors and musicians, going for a career in the arts seemed like the natural choice. Starting at age 11 he taught himself how to play piano, write and record his own music and has been releasing music projects every year since age 17.
Seemingly out of nowhere Wolf Castle emerged with a hunger, captivating audiences in person and online with his humor, contagious energy and flow. At his young age he’s already caught attention playing festivals and securing nominations for two East Coast Music Awards for Indigenous Artist of the Year and a Prix NB nomination for Recording of the Year.
His music carries a powerful energy and wisdom beyond his years covering topics about love, empowerment, having a good time and going against the odds. Mixing pop-rap with old school roots, his lyrics have been described as catchy and confessional. A knucklehead with an internet connection, Wolf Castle likes to keep listeners on their toes and deliver a new perspective on being a young indigenous man.

The Kendra Gale Band have been kicking and screaming their way around the Atlantic Provinces, Quebec and Ontario playing house concerts, night clubs, showcases and festival stages for the last 7 years. This dynamic and diverse Blues/Rock duo packs a punch! Kendra Gale’s full and powerful vocals and riffy guitar style is driven by Warren Beatteay’s hard hitting, groove based drums that combine to project a full sound while playing their own style of Rockin’ music. It’s a sound that’s gained them no shortage of fans and accolades across the province and country, including two nominations for ECMA Blues Album of the Year, and a CBC Galaxie Rising Star Award at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival.
The KGB performs Saturday October 3rd at 10pm
