We are thrilled to present a series of five Afro Hip-Hop Dance classes!

Meet Scholastic Soares, originally from Tanzania, Africa, but now a Canadian resident since 2001. In her middle school days, dance became Scholastic's go-to for self-expression and an escape from reality, particularly within her church community. The transformative impact of dance on her mind, body, and soul became a profound part of her life.

With a versatile dance background covering contemporary, hip hop, and AfroDance, Scholastic brings a wealth of experience to her role as a dance instructor. For the upcoming workshops at The Charlotte Street Arts Centre, she plans to impart a blend of Afrodance and hip hop, sharing her passion for dance and cultural expression with participants.
