An intimate evening celebrating the life and music of Rita MacNeil. A four piece, all female group, led by New Brunswick's Queen of the Blues, Theresa Malenfant, performs many of Rita MacNeil’s best-known songs as well as some of her hidden gems. Malenfant is joined by the extraordinarily talented Jennie Del Motte, Mirren Lithwick, and Heather MacIntyre. The evening is hosted by Charlie Rhindress, author of the best-selling Rita MacNeil biography, I’m Not What I Seem. He tells stories from Rita’s life and talks about his experience working with her on the play about her life, Flying On Her Own.
The show plays in Sackville, NB, July 25 and 26; Halifax, NS July 27; St. Andrews, NB, August 2; Amherst, NS, August 4, Fredericton, NB, August 30 and Saint John, NB, August 31.
